Cinema is the contemporary lingua franca, where scattered tongues of the world find common ground. We speak the language of the screen: classic lines become catchphrases, iconic soundtracks become the backdrop of collective memories, and cinematic moments convey emotions and shared experiences beyond words.
Indie Chinese Cinema Week (ICCW), now in its third edition, celebrates cinema as a uniting language - a medium that bridges social, cultural and linguistic divides. This year, ICCW presents a compelling lineup of documentaries, features, and shorts that explore the multifaceted realities of Sinophone communities through diverse linguistic expressions, cultural dissonances, and striking narrative textures.. We invite you to discover Chinese cinema as a convergence point where varied voices and perspectives merge to foster connection, empathy, and dialogue. (CL)
