Hane

Guided by the principle of the commons, the foyer of SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA, also known as SİNEMA HANE, functions as a shared space shaped by the needs and desires of the communities temporarily inhabiting it. Inspired by hane, the Turkish and Persian suffix used to describe places of gathering, the space remains open: adaptable, hospitable, and in constant transformation.

Throughout the week, SİNEMA HANE is a place to meet, eat, drink, and exchange. From Wednesday to Sunday, a variety of small bites are available. On Friday and Saturday evening, the menu expands to delicious meze plates based on recipes from our friends and collaborators. Through curated events, it shifts between reading room, listening space, dance floor, and performance venue, a place to celebrate togetherness through film, music, and movement.

In the warmer months, it extends into the garden — a flourishing courtyard that doubles as an open-air cinema.

Continually evolving, SİNEMA HANE offers a convivial space that is welcoming, useful, and restful for neighbours, collaborators, and visitors alike.
