Cinema of Commoning, a project by bi’bak and various international partners, which aims to bring together a network and gather knowledge from cinemas and cinema initiatives around the world. Through hybrid conversations, it hopes to create a statement which proposes a future model of an alternative cinema oriented towards the “commons” with regards to accessibility, artistic freedom and financial sustainability.
After a successful first edition of the programme in 2022, the 2024 edition will return to SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA in 2024 to weave an even larger global network, with a new set of partners, an international screening program and a symposium.
A collaboratively curated film program begins in March, with screenings at SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA, and partner venues around the world. The symposium will take place in Berlin from 04.-07.07.2024.
