Black Asian Screen Solidarity

An evening of film from Black and diverse Asian communities in Germany. The focus: What moves post-migrant cinema? Each of these films deals with questions of friendship, flight, trauma, diaspora, belonging and racism. They invite viewers to reflect on their own position in a society marked by racism and promote solidarity between marginalized communities working in film in Germany. This program is part of the two-day event Black & Asian Screen Solidarity under the direction of Kaddi Wandaogo, Vika Gurina and Dieu Hao Do (BAFNET). (BASS)

 

 

Dieu Hao Do from the Berlin Asian Film Network (BAFNET) is an author, director and community organiser. BAFNET sees itself as an anti-discrimination initiative that campaigns for a differentiated representation of Asian-German life in film and television

Viktoria Gurina is a filmmaker, video artist and film mediator. She studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.

Kaddi Malika Wandaogo is an actress and filmmaker. She has served on the jury for the Bundes.Festival.Film and DOXS RUHR, among others. She has headed the children's film jury at the Cinepänz Film Festival since 2022.
