Pralaya (Doomsday) is the inevitability of an active Javanese land, one which tarnished the sanctity of the glorious Hindu-Buddhist capital in the Central part of Java in the 10th century. The search for the cosmological Meru Mountain continued to East Java where the evolution that mixes bodies of the old civilization with contemporary Indonesia takes place. Through the intertwined stories of the Panataran temple and Panji, aka the man in the hat, we see the  perpetuation of an Indonesian ruling dynasty and its cultural hegemony.
