From the troglodytes in rural Iran to the luxurious buildings of Tehran; from a beach constantly threatened by war to the wandering transit zone of an airport; from the picturesque village of Vezelay and a poet who dreams of his father’s homeland to a canal in the Paris suburbs where migrants find refuge. In the collective documentary program A Sense of Place, six Iranian filmmakers tell stories of places located in Iran or else in exile in France and Germany. Initiated by Afsun Moshiry in cooperation with the Wim Wenders Stiftung, Road River Films, Pejman Foundation and LA Onda Productions, this program has traveled for a year and will now be showcased in Berlin at SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA.
