Found Futures III: Cinema-ye Azad | [ˌɑːkɪˈpeləɡəʊ] | Film Undone. Elements of a Latent Cinema

In the third session of the Found Futures series Hadi Alipanah sheds light on the untold and forgotten history of the Cinema-ye Azad movement, and presents two of the movement’s newly discovered and digitalized Super 8 short films. Armina Pilav and Clarissa Thieme discuss their practice in the realm of recently initiated collaborative project Archipelago. Olexii Kuchanskyi and Oleksiy Radynski introduce their work with the non-archive of 11,000 film reels found in the former Popular Science Film Studio in Kyiv.
