The story of an Eastern woman’s journey through the past that collages two archival films from East and West together; the complex layering of events happening in one corner of Saigon; a play between class relations and agrarian conflict on a golf course; the story of a Muslim domestic helper who must navigate Christmas eve with her boss who suffers from a psychological illness; the story of Lai Teck, one of the 50 known aliases of the Secretary General of the Malayan Communist Party from 1939 to 1947, who was killed in Thailand after being exposed as a triple agent; a performance of the most famous anti-communist propaganda in Indonesia: these six shorts excavate the intertwining histories of the region and how media technology can be used to creatively weave speculative readings of the past, present and future.
