DOLO

Hafiz Rancajale, Indonesia 2021, 150 Min., OV with English subs

Dolorosa Sinaga is a sculptor, a teacher and a mother to young artists and activists involved in social and cultural movements. The events of 1965 and the silence of democracy and human rights activists, and later the spread of identity politics have left Indonesia with an unresolved historical wound. In the midst of it all, Dolo opens the wounds of history through her sculptures.
