Spotlighting the diversity of Afghan short filmmaking—art from an area scarred by decades of war. With emotional vehemence and intimate sensitivity, acute themes such as women's rights, and social and political conflicts are explored by the filmmakers in this program. What unites these works is that they not only shed light on the challenges of Afghan society and its diaspora, but that they also provide an insight into desires and motivations and inner contradictions.
