Short Film Program: It Doesn't Hurt Much

curated by Sarnt Utamachote and Popo Fan

The screening on 15 September will be followed by a live Q&A with filmmaker Joseph Wilson.

I CAN SEE THE SUN BUT I CAN’T FEEL IT YET, Joseph Wilson, UK 2023, 20 min., English with English subtitles
ALL THE THINGS YOU LEAVE BEHIND, Chanasorn Chaikitiporn, Thailand 2022, 18 min., Thai with English subtitles
THE DRUM TOWER, Popo Fan, China 2019, 18 min., Chinese with Einglish subtitles

Touching on issues of mental health, coming out, political massacre and collective resistance, the short film program It Doesn't Hurt Much curated by Sarnt Utamachote and Popo Fan offers audiences a place to be, feel and resolve some of the tensions of contemporary society. Slipping through a landscape of homo-transphobic violence, these bodies persist by creating spaces for healing and justice, for love and growth. (SU)
