INTERFILM - 39th International Short Film Festival Berlin

Cinema can, may and will provide space for new perspectives and thus make a diversity of realities tangible. This transformative act allows us to see the world through different eyes within minutes. For its 39th edition, INTERFILM has set itself the task of countering digital short-form monotony with a precisely curated programme of films that take a stand and that cover socially-relevant topics without forgetting the pure pleasure of film, entertainment and experiencing cinema as a social space.

INTERFILM, founded in 1982 in the squats of Kreuzberg, and its sister festival KUKI, focus on the potential of short film to entertain and reflect the zeitgeist whilst maintaining cinema as a social and discursive space.
