The Found Futures IV session includes four group presentations and a closing discussion: Daniel Melfi examines a collection of 8mm films shot by the priest Don Cirillo Vitalini in northern Italy between 1959 and 1996. A division (Glênis Cardoso, Laura Batitucci) of the Brazilian film restoration initiative Cinelimite discusses their traveling digitization initiative—a free, mobile digitization project of Super 8 and 8mm films. Jacob Moe, organizer of the Syros International Film Festival, talks about approaching cinematic heritage through a local lens and his aim to foster lasting relationships with the public.
