Towards Alternative Narratives: In Dialogue with Petna Ndaliko

A workshop with internationally renowned Congolese filmmaker and educator Petna Ndaliko Katondolo, whose work is defined by critical engagement, intellectual rigor, and a decolonial African-futurist vision, accompanied by curator Enoka Ayemba. At the forefront of the "Recoding Aesthetic" movement, Ndaliko merges rhythm, imagery, and social critique through digital tools, crafting a cinematic language that challenges colonial legacies and reinvents storytelling itself. During this workshop, the filmmaker will discuss representation in cinema and his creative process of crafting contemporary stories through alternative narratives.
