We warmly invite you to an evening of OPEN AIR food and film with Sissi Chen! The talented chef behind everyone’s favourite Berlin food-blog @eatinginberlin returns to SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA with a hands-on cooking workshop and dinner. Sharing insights into the cultural history of Xi’an’s most famous dish, Sissi will expertly guide participants through the process of pulling their own Biang Biang noodles using fresh dough. Everyone gets to pull, slap, drizzle hot oil onto their individual bowls and see how easy or difficult it is to create this iconic dish. Once the sizzling chilli oil hits all the aromatics, participants will be able to enjoy their delicious self-made creations in the SİNEMA garden. At dusk, attention will turn to cinema, with an OPEN AIR screening of three short films that celebrate human connections through cooking, sharing and eating food: Biang Biang Express, Now I’m in the Kitchen and Birthday Cakes from China.
There will be two workshop sessions, each accommodating up to 20 participants.
The first session will start at 18:30 and the second at 19:45.
The workshop fee of 26€ includes all ingredients, self-pulling & learning, the food and a ticket to Biang Biang Shorts OPEN AIR screening which starts at 21:30.
Tickets for the screening ONLY can be purchased at the usual price of 9€.
