Create your own expressive mask inspired by the rich traditions of Latin American carnival and folk art. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore shapes, colors, and symbolism drawn from iconic celebrations, transforming simple cardboard into bold masks.
After choosing your reference, you’ll design and construct your own mask using papier-mâché, clay, acrylic paint, and finishing materials such as fabric, wire, and thread. Guided step by step, you’ll create forms inspired by folkloric traditions—animal, human, or hybrid figures.
Before each session, you’ll receive visual references for inspiration. No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided—just bring your curiosity.
The workshop takes place on two consecutive Sundays: 21. and 28. June, from 14:00 - 17:00 Participants must attend both sessions.
The workshop fee of 25€ includes materials. Food is not included but will be available to buy at SİNEMA HANE.
