Who tells which stories and from which perspectives? Who decides which images are used and how things are represented? Who communicates which knowledge? How can dominant social discourses and narratives be decentralized? And who has the access and the ability to fill the gaps in social narratives?
In pursuit of these and similar questions, SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA launches the SİNEMAplural Fellowship. Fifteen selected fellows will explore and test the possibilities of film education in a dedicated nine-month program.
We invite you to celebrate the launch of the SİNEMAplural Fellowship with us! The SİNEMAplural concept group, the SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA team, and the partner organizations will welcome the selected fellows. Afterwards, the project's patron, Naika Foroutan, will discuss the future viability of cultural film and educational spaces with Melanie Kühnemann-Grunow, member of the Berlin Cultural Committee, Dieu Hao Do and Can Sungu moderated by Djamila Grandits.
We will round off the evening with a screening of the short film Por Primera Vez, drinks, snacks, and a set by DJ Hotaru featuring ambient electronic beats—the perfect setting for conversations with the new fellows, filmmakers, partner organizations, and the cultural scene.
Come by and join us in celebrating the launch of this groundbreaking initiative!
