As a culmination of their SİNEMAplural journey, fellows Aylin Derya Demirtaş and Kübra Sarı, along with collaborators Leyla Ercan and Alma Sinai, invite you to a space of reflection and exchange, and to create your own room of belonging:
When was the last time you made something with your hands, just for yourself? What kinds of stories and spaces are you longing for?
This workshop invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body, memories and everyday life, and explore (be)longing through play, crafting and film. In a relaxed atmosphere, we will watch short film scenes, drink çay, chat and create our own small rooms using collage and stop-motion. There is no pressure to speak or share more than you want. Together, we reflect on slice-of-life narratives, hybrid identities and lived spaces, and experiment with new aesthetics beyond the white gaze. You will leave with a short stop-motion piece and become part of a collective, touchable archive.
This space is for W/FLINTA* (= women, female, trans, inter and gender-dissident people) who are also BIPoC (= Black, Indigenous, People of Color) only. If you are unsure, e-mail us: inbetweenhabitats@gmail.com
The session is free but please register in advance. Deadline 29.01.2026.
