Film Restored - Risky Business

This October, SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA and the E-Werk are the locations for Film Restored. In 2026, the Deutsche Kinemathek’s film heritage festival focuses on risk in cinema: the perils facing film producers and distributors, the challenges encountered in archives and during restoration work, and films about characters who have everything at stake. Numerous events explore topics of persecution and exile, films that broke social taboos, daring archives, aesthetic courage and the allure of risk. Festival-goers can look forward to digital restorations, workshops, talks and live music. The program features works from 20 countries, international guests and films spanning the years from 1927 to 2010.
