A year in the life of an ordinary Taipei family, the Jians. Through the quiet experiences of each family member—NJ, the father, reconnecting with a past love; his wife, Min-Min, seeking meaning in her routine; their teenage daughter, Ting-Ting, facing the complexities of first love and guilt; and young son Yang-Yang, who takes photographs of things people don’t usually see—the film paints a thoughtful portrait of everyday life. Yang captures small moments of joy, regret, and realization, building into a moving and observant reflection on family, memory, and the truths that shape us. Winner of Best Director at Cannes, it remains a subtle and deeply human masterpiece. (Impression Taiwan)
