“This workshop is not a lecture, it’s a shared experience!”–Prince Emrah
In this workshop, Berlin-based artist, producer and community organizer Prince Emrah invites you into the joyful, collaborative world behind drag and queer community-building.
Prince Emrah has created and produced numerous spaces for queer, trans, migrant and refugee communities (Queerberg Collective, Haram Nights, Black & Brown Cabaret, WhOriental Festival, Gayhane at SO36, and House of Namus in the Ruhrgebiet (NRW). Their work focuses on immigrant queer dance, drag, performance, music and art, always rooted in community, care and collective creativity.
This workshop is designed as an easy, open and playful introduction into queer community organising. In small groups, participants will develop their own event concepts which will culminate in a DIY showcase.
No professional experience in drag, performance or event-making is needed — just curiosity and openness! (Prince Emrah)
