Found Future #1: Sound Archives

With Filipa César, Marinho Pina, Didi Cheeka, and Vinzenz Hediger, moderated by Stefanie Schulte Strathaus

Both INCA (Instituto Nacional de Cinema e Audiovisual) in Guinea-Bissau and the National Film, Video and Sound Archive in Jos, Nigeria, contain documentary image as well as sound material. In addition to the Mediateca Onshore, Guinea-Bissau has now also established the Sonoteca. Filipa César, Marinho Pina, Didi Cheeka, and Vinzenz Hediger will present audio examples and discuss the role of sound as part of cinematic heritage.

Filipa César is a Portuguese artist and filmmaker.

Marinho Pina is a filmmaker, transdisciplinary artist, performer, poet, musician and writer.

Didi Cheeka is a filmmaker and critic from Nigeria.

Vinzenz Hediger is a Professor of Cinema Studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
