Curated by Marwa Zein for the Goethe-Institut in Exile
In a time that for many is characterized by pain, loss and alienation, Reconnecting Through The Cracks, a film series curated by Marwa Zein for the Goethe-Institut in Exile, invites us to come together and reconnect. The title of the series stems from a genuine need to reflect on disconnection. It offers a space to recognize our barriers while also holding together in challenging times. Each screening is dedicated to stories of pain, resilience and breakthroughs and features one feature film and one short film. (GIE)

Five lives, one city, a nation at war. A civil servant, a tea lady, a resistance committee volunteer and two street boys. Five stories from Sudan weave together in search of freedom through animated dreams, street revolutions and a war from the metropolis of Khartoum to escape in East Africa. (GIE)
