The open air season begins with an evening of high camp and queer joy brought to you by Berlin initiatives QueerBerg Collective and WE ARE HERE.

Festivities start in the early evening with Meyhane drinks and meze in the garden.

At 20:00 legendary drag performers and artists from Queerberg Collective take center stage: Dianna Jacksan Manzamussa, BrownSugarBiscuit and Anesha, hosted by Sasha Glamm.

After sunset, the evening continues with a screening of contemporary cult classic Salão de Baile (This is Ballroom) brought to you by WE ARE HERE. In Rio de Janeiro City and its outskirts, LGBTQ+ youth of color recreate Ballroom culture on their own terms. A portrait of the dramas, the voguing performances, and the art of shade, 50 years after its inception in New York. Rio is burning!

QueerBerg Collective is a BiPOC, refugee collective for queer and trans* artists and performers. It provides a support system for refugee artists – Black and Brown queers and trans* folk from Syria, Malaysia, Kurdistan, Turkey, Asia and many more – both on stage as well as in everyday challenges.

Prince Emrah is a drag performer and the founder of QueerBerg Collective.

Anesha is a drag queen who is full of energy and talent. Anesha always brings references and inspirations from Brazilian and international divas to her performances, with a lot of creativity!

Brownsugarbiscuit (she/her) is an international sensation, based in Berlin, the Femme Queen Face of Germany, originally from Singapore, a Tamil-Trans-Multi-Disciplinary Artist.

Sasha Glam is not just drag – she’s a movement. With a stage presence that hits like fireworks, an attitude bigger than her high heels, and performances that leave the audience breathless.

Dianna Jacksan Manzamussa, trans woman, Brazilian multi-talented artist, dancer, teacher, movement director, capoeira player, legendary founder of the House of Manzamussa.

WE ARE HERE is an alternative distribution initiative dreamed up by Lediona Kasapi and Júnia Matsuura, a film buff duo that is bringing engaging films to a wider audience, starting from Berlin and going global.
