Bochinche is an intimate Colombian black and afroindigenous film screening night. It’s a moment and a space for connecting with our ancestors and inviting protection for our community, especially in times when bigotry is on the rise. Bochinche is a night for gathering, watching and talking about a selection of films focused on black and afroindigenous trans and queer people made by black and afroindigenous trans and queer people. Eleggua Luna Laverde (they/she) is an afrocaribbean trans scriptwriter, director and curator from the Bazurto Market in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Her work focuses on queer black and afroindigenous lives through intimate and community-centered perspectives.
