A German NGO arrives to restore a ruined cinema in Jenin, a city in the occupied West Bank. For Hussein, the 59-year-old projectionist who has kept the theater alive for 43 years, the rebuilding of the cinema represents an opportunity to contribute his expertise. When the German team flies in a young projectionist to "train the locals," Hussein is pushed out. A sharp documentary that exposes how the white savior complex and old hierarchical structures are often disguised as charity.
