A series of informal project presentations, Found Futures, engages with questions of decolonial, transnational, and collaborative archival practices that create a new understanding of cinema, in which not only content, but also structures are shared. Andrew Bailey discusses Archive/Counter-Archive’s commitment to artist residencies as a form of research-creation and show clips of short films by the two experimental archival filmmakers Jennifer Dysart and Nadine Valcin. Mohammad Ali Atassi, Stefan Tarnowski, and Jason Fox introduce Bidayyat, the Beirut-based Syrian production hub founded in the early days of the Revolution.
