Ian Nagoski is an independent music researcher and reissue record producer from Baltimore, Maryland who has focused on the recordings of immigrants to the U.S. during the early 20th century for the past 20 years. In this listening session, he will expertly guide us through the stories and songs of seven amazing immigrant singers, from the period circa 1917-47. Recorded in Armenian, Greek, Ladino, Turkish, and more in the first half of the 20th century, their roots go back to Ioannina, Bahçecik, İzmir, Alexandria, Patras, Mersin, Kos.
