This September marks half a decade since SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA opened its doors. In celebration of this milestone, SİNEMA: 5 YEARS 5 FILMS brings together 5 exemplary films that embody our mission to bridge cultures, challenge perspectives, and foster solidarity through transnational film culture.
Since launching, first at Haus der Statistik and now in Wedding, our mission has been to create a physical space for social discourse, postcolonial narratives, and community exchange, positioning film as a tool for education and provocation.
Each film in this anniversary series reflects a year of our legacy, showcasing works that amplify marginalized voices, migration narratives, and queer resilience, from groundbreaking documentaries to contemporary features. (Bethan Hughes)
