The International Festival of Romani Film comes to SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA for its 10th edition, unfolding as a moment of attention to the conditions under which images emerge, circulate, and persist.
This year’s edition of AKE DIKHEA? centers the notion of “Breaking the Spell”, reflecting on the afterlives of enforced invisibility and opens space for Roma perspectives to unsettle inherited images. Rather than confronting these inheritances directly, the festival moves along their edges. It traces fractures, echoes, and quiet refusals and along the way, the “Romacene,” informed by Roma Futurism, emerges as a way of inhabiting time otherwise; not as correction, but as reorientation.
Across film and beyond, AKE DIKHEA? unsettles inherited images and suggests other ways of seeing and being seen.
