DAY I

As cinema-going habits shift and cities are reshaped by gentrification, political change, and censorship, how can cinemas continue to hold space for collective cultural life? How are legacy venues being reimagined by new generations, and what strategies can support their long-term sustainability? Can alternative models of ownership, solidarity, advocacy, and funding help cinemas remain resilient in an uncertain future?

Day One of Cinema of Commoning 3 will revolve around practical, future-oriented approaches to sustaining cinema spaces, building alliances, diversifying resources, and redefining the role of cinemas in contemporary society.

Accreditation is €30 for all 3 days.

Accreditation is €15 for individual days and includes access to the full day of talks, events, gatherings, workshops and screenings.

There may also be last minute seats available on each day of the screening, on a first come first served basis.

Note: Accreditation for the symposium will be available on the website. Accredited participants must pick up their cinema tickets for the evening programme at the Infopoint in Sinema by 13:00. Tickets for non-accredited participants will be released at 13:00.
